Great location, employees friendly and helpful. Procedure for renting camp sites could be much easier. Online site like state parks use would be great.
The bathrooms were very clean and well maintained, however, when I took a shower, the water was so scalding hot that I could barely tolerate it. There is no way a child could tolerate water that temperature. There was no knob to adjust it. I mentioned it to an employee and she said that they get that complaint every year and that maintenance tells them that they are set at a specific temperature and can't be adjusted. There has to be a way to fix this problem.
Camp grounds are very nice and well taken care of. Lots of bugs flying around everywhere, but that's just the great Outdoors. Beautiful lake great for a party on the boat or just riding around. Be sure to check out Fish N Pig restaurant before you leave.
The swimming area was in desperate need of attention, with grass and weeds growing on the beach and not-so-clean sand, but my 2 boys had a blast anyway.
The campground was very nice, however we were only allowed to choose from 5 tent sites. They were very small with no shade to speak of. They were also on very hilly ground with very few places to actually place a tent. We got the one closest to the bathrooms and had to place our tent on the level ground about 15 feet behind the bathroom. This wasn't horrible since our site was the only one that had any, although very few, trees.
Great views BUT not as well maintained as it was in the past. Fire pits full, cigarette butts around, wood fences falling down. Still a convenient location to colleges, shopping, passing through area.

All in all, it's a beautiful area, a very clean campground, and a gorgeous lake. The people are very friendly and we had a great time taking the boat out on the lake. If they could correct these few issues, it would definitely deserve a 5 star rating.
